How rare is Gold?

a. Scientists still don't know how it's made, latest 'guess' of physics' is it is the product of two rare types of stars colliding. It is not created on any process on earth, it comes from the mechanics of the universe.
b. In human history approximately 5 billion ounces have been mined, that's around 1/2 ounce per person living now.
c. If every human had their 1/2 ounce of gold, even at 2K an ounce, all you would have was a lousy 1K worth of Gold.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BASE A GLOBAL DOLLAR ON GOLD unless it was worth 200K an ounce
